Here’s the only Guide you need to come out of the guilt and finally start making the best out of the 24 hours that we get.

Now, As solopreneurs it gets tricky with the amount of time we have and the amount of work that we choose to do alone, You see, the major chuck of our energy is invested into deciding which of the given tasks to prioritize and finishing each on time.

Here’s a list of things you can do to make use of every productive hour.

You know what the most difficult is?

As Humans, we tend to go through various different mood swings, throughout the day, Some hours will be more productive than the other, In that case, Choosing a task that requires utmost attention becomes a task in itself.

Well, Don’t worry, in the bigger picture, getting the work done is the most important, Let’s navigate through all the possibilities to reach the goal.

Table of Contents

1 Make Up your Mind.

Avoid any distractions coming your way, entertaining distraction serves no good. So simply make up your mind to finish up what it is to be done for the day, Make a To-Do List ON PAPER! Write down what are the things that require the most attention, what are the tasks requiring the most time, do them first, utilize the Morning’s energy in doing deep work and bigger projects.

2- Align similar tasks

This is crucial here, Aligning all the tasks that are similar to each other for e.g in my case, I will be having a lot of writing projects like, medium article, blogs, client work, LinkedIn and X posts. I align them with the length of the write up.mThat helps me make the best of my morning energies to complete important tasks.

3- Block your schedule.

See, in traditional workspace, even though we often hate the work we do and yet finish every task before EOD, Why do we become inconsistent is doing something we truly love then?

Why a traditional 9-5 forces to finish all the tasks at a certain time frame, overtime, this very work is going to accumulate into something Big and it adds up to our experience.

Now, imagine you stop being lazy and put in all that work, IN your own schedule, Create a customized time table and do the small work, It adds up I promise!

4- Have boundaries

Strict boundaries define your sense of Discipline. Discipline goes hand in hand with consistency, Discipline is the most difficult taks of all that’s in your schedule.

Having strict boundaries during work is not the only kind of strictness you need, Be strict with your Rest as well, Know yourself so much that you exactly know how much rest will energize you to becoming more productive and you will be able to outperform your tasks.

5- Promodoro Technique

So here’s a researched time management technique that you could use, and see If it helps, Or simply google and find out various other techniques and tests what works for you.

Here’s How Promodoro technique works,

You assign a single task for 25 mins straight, without distraction, and then take a 5 min break, So what happens is, those 25 mins of focus will be driven by the fact that there’s a break coming up. Repeat this until all the tasks are checked doff the your list.

6- Switch off the Phone!

You see, a phone is really not required at work. You just need to put your head down and write or design, especially during tasks that don’t require dialing a call to anyone, make sure the phone is kept as far as psssible, or simply switch it off, resist the temptation or reaching out to your phone every now and then.

This simple list that you made being in the productive state of today helps you feel less guilty the next day,

You see most of the guilt we face when we take rest is when it takes us a while to get into the creative zone after zoning out of it the previous day, So this little practice will save you Hours of procrastinating, planning all from scratch for a new day that takes up half the productive energy.
