Do things at your own pace

As you all know how daunting it is to work the whole day and spend the little time we have de-stressing and preparing for the next daunting day. Thought of Quitting? Are we consistent?

How I wish I knew this earlier, I have been wanting to quit my job as well for a really long time now.

So, what’s stopping me?

The money? well, they say we could earn a bomb if we leave our job. Then, what is it that is stopping me from leaving. is it money? or is it fear? or is it self-doubt?, What is it??? Why is Quitting so difficult

The Fear of the unknown is REAL. The moment I think of quitting my job there appears a grey cloud wandering above my head. Warning me not to do so.

Quitting 9-5 Job

I hear it saying, ARE YOU SURE?? Are you sure you are going to achieve it? Are you sure you have the talent, I just proved myself, I have my portfolio built! How much of an assurance do I need?

But Are you sure your talent will last longer? Are you sure you are going to get good ideas and will be able to be consistent enough to build what you wish to build?

Umm… No! But I’d like to believe I could.

See, half of your time is spent answering the second voice in your head. You answer one question and the next one arises.

Make peace with that voice because they are never going to stop. And the main motive behind this voice is to stop you from taking risks and safeguarding you from potential harms. But we just need to make sure the good voice that knows our potential, that knows we could fight this, doesn’t silence down.

I have a whole Blog written here about 5 effective ways to change career midlife.

ONE SKILL YOU NEED BEFORE QUITTING THAT WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE

There is this ONE SKILL, that everybody talks about, but You need to have it Practiced better than any other skill that your own.

It is CONSISTENCY.

CONSISTENCY is a skill that is interpreted as part of the journey of success which is true, but the important part here is that you Need to give the skill of Consistency a lot more importance than anything else in your list. Highlight it, with the brightest colors possible, the most radiant yellow if required.

You see, As we go through our set journey. We tend to spend a lot more time thinking of new ideas and even further, is about Execution, which is wonderful to know if your discussions involve these terms. But let me tell you.

100 people will have 100 different ideas, 100 unique styles and almost all use their witty brains to curate the best presentation of their ideas. So, more than that I believe if you consistently show up, and keep showing up, it adds way more value to your work.

WORK ETHICS

The secret is to ‘NOT STOP’ Until you make it.

Once you believe that the consistency muscle is well practiced that is when you decide to quit your job for your freelancing journey.

Consistency is the major chunk of the concept called “WORK ETHICS“. Yes, work ethics play the most crucial role of shaping who we are and building what we want to build sooner.

So, here’s the thing, you cannot expect quick results, you definitely will not gain fans overnight and people will not begin recognizing you immediately, proving yourself over and over again is part of the world outside that safe corporate setup.

Question yourself if it is worth leaving the safety, because the CEO/FOUNDER you work for, did all the Raw work on field. He created all of this, that hundreds of employees like you could work for him and fulfill his big goal, also giving you the feasible environment to do so.

Hence, it is all a matter of Priority, It is okay to work the 9-5 if it brings stability and peace in your life and your family. But if in case you reach a stage that you find yourself compromising a lot more than required?

If there are better opportunities in terms of money and positions or even freelancing but all it requires if for you to take a small risk, then go in the direction, it doesn’t always have to be a big step sacrificing everything, You can plan out your escape our of the rut, but if there is any thought or a chance then i would recommend you to GO FOR IT!

life is way to short to stay too comfortable submerged in the low life

Stay positive, Be a pessimist if your goals require but do it. Do not let go of those pockets of time in between your duty hours or after work. Just begin giving an hour in the start for what your passion is.

Remember, There is no one giant step that does it. It is a lot of little steps.
